EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY ENHANCEMENT WITH POST-CASTING SERVICES FROM STERR & EDER INDUSTRIESERVICE GmbH
Expertise on display at GIFA 2015
Sterr & Eder Industrieservice GmbH acts as an extended supply chain partner for post-casting processes and services and its expertise will be on display at GIFA 2015 at the Ultraseal International stand in Hall 11 F26.
Based at Velden, near Munich, the company carries out fettling, vacuum impregnation, shot-blasting, straightening, heat treatment, X-ray analysis, crack detection, washing, leak detection and assembly.
Sterr & Eder specialises in preserving and enhancing the value of cast metal components, principally for the automotive industry but also for engine and gear housing, oil and cooling pumps, valves and fittings.
With some of the most skilled fettlers in the sector, and decades of experience, Sterr & Eder is capable of meeting the demands of the most exacting of customers, including OEMs and Tier One automotive suppliers.
Managing Director Bernd Wendinger said: “We aim to offer customers a range of processes between raw castings and finished machining. We are experts in enhancing the value of a cast metal part.
“Over the years we have amassed a very specialised knowledge in the fettling of parts and we are experienced in other post-casting processes. We have many ways of improving the quality of a part.”
A range of parts will be exhibited at GIFA to demonstrate the sheer quality of Sterr & Eder’s post-casting operations, with examples including parts that have acquired a smooth surface finish through Sterr & Eder’s fettling and shot-blasting.
As part of the ‘Ultraseal family’, Sterr & Eder uses only Ultraseal International’s global benchmark recycling sealant Rexeal 100™ for its Vacuum Impregnation process that offers a reliable and permanent solution to porosity in cast metal parts.
The company was acquired in 2013 by Ultraseal International through its parent company Norman Hay plc and is exhibiting alongside Ultraseal and the Lubrolene brand of water-free die release agents at GIFA 2015.
German speakers will be available on the stand.
