Digital transformation of global industries

Hello,

Global industrial competition is becoming ever more intense and the mechanical and plant engineering industry urgently needs to prepare for the future. A key factor for the leap into the digital age - i.e. the transformation from traditional product manufacturer to intelligent solution provider - is to combine tried-and-tested methods with digital business models. For this reason, we would like to draw your attention to a short study by the VDMA. The publication presents four stages of digital transformation and the options for action that companies have.

By developing new high-performance torches, adapted power sources and innovative special wires, material build-up rates are to be increased to up to 15 kg/h for aluminium and 20 kg/h for steel and copper. This represents an important step towards making the production of large components more efficient and economical.
