Steel industry welcomes hydrogen acceleration act

The German Steel Association (Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl) has approved the cabinet decision on the hydrogen acceleration act presented by Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck. According to Habeck, sufficient quantities of affordable hydrogen are a non-negotiable prerequisite for decarbonising the steel industry.

ArcelorMittal receives confirmation of national grant for decarbonisation

Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck has ceremoniously awarded ArcelorMittal in Eisenhüttenstadt with a national grant of more than 1.3 billion euros for decarbonisation of the sites at Bremen and Eisenhüttenstadt.

World's most compact pelleting plant receives final acceptance certificate

Essel Mining and Industries Limited (EMIL) has granted Primetals the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for its round pelletizing plant. The space-saving plant is considered a cost-effective alternative to conventional pelletizing plants and is the first reference plant in India to produce at full capacity.
