Digital production platform for sustainable steel production

EU project “DiGreeS” aims to make steel production “greener”, more digital, and more economical. The aim is to optimise product quality, reduce CO2 emissions, lower energy consumption and lower costs.

ArcelorMittal collaborates with HP on the additive manufacturing of steel

The world's largest steel company and HP are entering into a strategic collaboration to advance the additive manufacturing of steel. The ArcelorMittal research center will be used as an incubator to develop new applications in collaboration with customers using HP's binder jetting technology and ArcelorMittal's steel powder.

Borçelik to install combi-line furnace for automotive steels

The Turkish steel manufacturer Borçelik has selected international technology group Andritz to supply a combi-line furnace for a new continuous galvanizing and annealing line to produce automotive material.

27–29 November 2024 METEC India, Mumbai

From November 27 to 29, 2024, METEC India will take place in Mumbai together with wire India, Tube India and INDIA ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING - the largest metal trade fair in India. Over 600 exhibitors from 22 countries will present the latest technologies and products for metal processing. As part of the trade fair, the METEC India Conference on 29 November will highlight key topics such as the decarbonization goals of the Indian steel industry by 2047.
