Danieli will supply Acciaierie Venete with a new, 100-ton electric-arc furnace complete with new fume-treatment plant and material handling system, to be installed at Padova Works, in Italy.
The new furnace will allow Acciaierie Venete to produce approx. 750,000 tpy of high-quality, green, engineering steels. It will be equipped with several technological packages designed for fully automated operation to ensure zero-man around for a high level of safety, and respecting the environment with low-dust and low-noise emissions. One of the most important features of the new furnace is the Danieli-patented Digital Electromagnetic Stirring system –DEAS, which enhances the homogenization of the liquid steel temperature and chemistry to improve operational efficiency for the lowest transformation costs together with consistent reduction of CO2 emissions, qualifying for governmental funds. Danieli will provide equipment, automation and installation for this brown-field project by Summer 2026, within a 6-week scheduled shutdown, followed by a quick ramp-up. Source: Danieli
