Tata Steel CEO TV Narendran elected Chairman of worldsteel

New Chairman of the World Steel Association: Thachat Viswanath Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel.

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has elected Thachat Viswanath Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of India's Tata Steel, as Chairman of the Board for the 2024/2025 term of office.

Uğur Dalbeler, CEO of the Turkish steel company Çolakoğlu Metalurji, and Leon Topalian, President and CEO of the US steel producer Nucor, were appointed Vice Chairmen. Akihiko Inoue, Representative Director and President of Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corporation, Japan, was elected Chairman of worldstainless.
The members of the Executive Board will each remain in office for one year.
