QuantoLux uses funding to develop revolutionary slag analytics

QuantoLux is revolutionising slag analysis with a new rapid slag analyser. Thanks to a successful financing 2 years ago, the company was able to develop this breakthrough in slag analysis. The new analyser enables steel mills to analyse their slag samples in a fraction of the time (20 seconds) and much more cost effectively than before.

The advantages for steelworks are numerous: an in-situ reaction to deviations enables lower energy consumption and longer service life of the refractory lining, as the slag chemistry always works at its optimum and, in addition, the treatment time is reduced. In addition, a better Fe yield can be achieved in the EAF, for example.

QuantoLux is particularly proud that customers can bring their own slag samples to the fair and have them analysed there. This allows steel mills to test the performance of the new analyser on site and see the benefits for themselves.
