Fire sleeve with hook and loop fasterner

Fire sleeve with hook and loop fasterner is knitted or braided high bulk glass fiber sleeve with VCO hook-and-loop closure. Ideal choice for easy retrofits. We provide nylon velcro and Nomex velcro.

Fire sleeve with hook and loop fasterner is constructed from a high bulk glass fiber knitted or braided sleeve, heavily coated with our proprietary compound of iron oxide red silicone rubber. Using high temperature glass fiber thread, a flame retardant hook-and-loop closure system is sewn internally.

Fire sleeve with hook and loop fasterner will withstand continuous exposure to 500° F (260°C); up to 2000°F (1090°C) for 15-20 minutes; and up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15-30 seconds.

Fire sleeve can be printed with identification, trademarks, warnings, etc. Customs length per spool is available.

Fiberglass Braided Sleeve is available in 2 grades: 1/8″ (3.2 mm) wall thickness or 1/16″ (1.6 mm) wall thickness.

Fiberglass Braided Sleeve resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is highly flexible and conformable.

BSTFLEX Fiberglass Woven Tape is fabricated from high quality type E fiberglass that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1100°F / 593°C.

These high temperature tapes provide protection of industrial wires, cables, hoses, tube and pipe and also provide thermal insulation and personnel protection. Also used as a gasket or seal. Available as a Plain tape or ladder tape.

Available thicknesses include 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm. It is available with adhesive backed, also available for colored fiberglass tape.

Fiberglass offers excellent heat resistance, retaining more than half of its room temperature tensile strength at 675°F / 357°C, and more than 25% at 875°F / 468°C. It begins to soften at 1500°F / 815°C and melts near 2050°F / 1121°C.

This tape is designed compound sheds molten metal splash immediately, so very little heat transfer occurs. Silicone Coated Fiberglass Tape can withstand repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminum and molten glass, up to 3000°F (1650°C).

Silicone Coated Fiberglass Tape withstands continuous exposure to 500°F (260°C), up to 2000°F (1090°C) for 15-20 minutes, and up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15-30 seconds. High Temperature Wire Protection Aluminized fiberglass sleeve

This Sewn Aluminum Fiberglass Reflectsleeve can be used to protect industrial wires, cables, hydraulics hoses, piping and tubing from radiant heat sources such as glowing steel slab, liquid metal pour stream, infrared heaters and other similar sources.

 

Performance lab tested at 3000°F (1650°C) for 1 minute, this sleeve reflects at least 90% of the radiant energy that hits its surface, keeping the underlying cables and hoses cool. The aluminum layers will not delaminate from the cloth, even under the most extreme heat conditions.The sleeve is constructed by slitting the blanket to the appropriate width and double stitching the edge with high temperature glass fiber thread.

Sewn Aluminum Fiberglass Reflectsleeve is available in sizes from 2/5 " through 18,1/2 ".

  

It can be cut into required lengths. Larger sizes are available under special order.

Aluminum Fiberglass Sleeve Adhesive Strip Closure is a special self-wrapping sleeve designed to provide thermal protection from both radiant and convective heat. It`s composed of a braided fiberglass and polyester base fabric. The product can  withstand convective heat soaks up to 200o C and simultaneously protect critical components from radiant has reflected heat.


The description is that the unique braided structure impacts a higher level of flexibility than in other sleeves. It also allows the product to maintain a circular profile when flexed.
 
The self-wrapping design allows for quick and easy installation with the addition of a self-sealing adhesive reinforcement that allows for permanent closure. The adhesive strip acts as a barrier to dirt and fluids while maintaining the full integrity of the finished aluminized sleeve.
