The software package ATM Inspect is characterized by intuitive and user-friendly design and provides an extensive toolbox for microscopic evaluation and documentation of results. The software basis comprises a wealth of features and is adaptable to customer-specific tasks. It is easily extendable with a variety of add-on modules.

With ATM Inspect microscoping tasks are executed rapidly, easily and with utmost precision. ATM Inspect extends the range of functions of stereo microscopes and/or reflected light microscopes with interactive in-image-measurements and the generation of customized reports. Measurement and report templates help to increase throughput rates for routine tasks.

The automatic brightness adjustment and the automatic shading correction lead to fast and usable image results. Simple measurements like lengths and areas may be inserted into the image by using overlay elements. Additionally, the software basis provides measurement instruments for the statistical evaluation of layer thicknesses and grain sizes. Additionally, the software is able to load, to recalibrate and to size external images.

The software has been developed to accommodate either touch or mouse operation in a 64-bit-Version (WIN 7/8/10). A modular software structure allows the user to extend the portfolio of functions any time. The microstructure analysis add-ons increase the degree of automation for phase analyses, layer thicknesses and grain sizes.

The OPAL X-PRESS is a modular hot mounting press for fast and simultaneous, independent mounting of different materialographic specimens. The modularity of the OPAL X-PRESS allows for optimum configuration for different sample sizes according to customer requirements.

The basic device contains the control interface and one mold assembly. It is available in 2 versions:
Opal X-Press 2: can be equipped with one additional pressing units (total up to 2 pressing units)
Opal X-Press 4: can be equipped with up to three additional pressing units (total up to 4 pressing units)

The pressing units are separated from the basic device and may be added later. Thus it is possible to generate samples of up to 2 (OPAL X-PRESS 2) respectively 4 (OPAL X-PRESS 4) different diameters simultaneously in one device. The diameter of the pressing unit - each with or without chamfer - can be selected between 25.2 mm, 30 mm, 1¼" (~32 mm), 1½" (~38 mm), 40 mm, 50 mm.

The DM 2700 M is an upright materials microscope with universal white light (4500 K) illumination (LED).

With its modular design, it finds a multitude of uses from simple routine tasks in materials science up to complex materials research. In combination with high quality Leica optics provide the ideal inspection tool for Brightfield (BF), Darkfield (DF), Differential Interference Contrast (DIC), Polarization (PoL), and Fluorescence (FLUO) applications.

In addition to all incident light applications, the Leica DM 2700 M is available with transmitted light. It has a wide variety of characteristics which simply help the user for an easy and more comfortable job. Modular design, stability, ergonomic and optical performance are the main practical features of the Leica DM 2700 M.
