Founded in 2025, VinMetal is planning an integrated steelworks complex in Vung Ang, Ha Tinh, Vietnam, with an initial capacity of approximately 5 million tonnes per year. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Primetals regarding the greenfield project, which will include production facilities for long and flat products.

Tata Steel has entered into definitive agreements with SMS h for the implementation of the new EASyMelt technology. Tata Steel intends to proceed with the phased first industrial demonstration of this technology in blast furnace E in Jamshedpur.
